The Tournament of Friendship was founded on the premise of bringing people together to help us better relate to one another. A byproduct of this “coming together” is our ability to provide assistance to young men and women who aspire to serve their communities in criminal justice and fire fighting professions. The “TOURNAMENT OF FRIENDSHIP” was established in 1982, which means we’ll be celebrating our 44th year of building bridges and providing financial assistance to our future leaders, all thanks to you and your support.
Over the years, many fine students have benefited through scholarships offered through the “TOURNAMENT OF FRIENDSHIP, completed their studies at Michigan State University, Lansing Community College, and Davenport University, and have proceeded to enter careers in criminal justice and firefighting. It is through your participation in this annual fund-raising tournament that we are able to continue to provide financial assistance to deserving women and persons of color. We have been able to bring some of these recipients back to our event the last couple of years which we think has put some perspective on who we help.
The Tournament of Friendship now annually provides two $4500 scholarships to students enrolled in the Criminal Justice program at Michigan State University, $7000 in scholarships to students enrolled in the EMS/Fire Sciences programs at Lansing Community College, and $5000 in scholarships to students at Davenport University’s downtown Lansing campus.
Please join us for a wonderful day of golf and fellowship, as we raise money for our future criminal justice and fire fighting professionals.
