Professor Sanja Kutnjak Ivkovic presents work at NACOLE/John Jay Symposium

Photo of Sanja KutnjakProfessor Sanja Kutnjak Ivković presented a paper at the 2016 National Association for Civilian Oversight of Law Enforcement (NACOLE) at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, discussing the police “code of silence” regarding investigations of corruption and misconduct.

What Matters for the Police Code of Silence was co-authored with Maria Haberfeld (Professor of Law and Police Science, John Jay College) and Criminal Justice doctoral student Robert Peacock.

Sanja Kutnjak Ivković is a professor at the School of Criminal Justice, Michigan State University. She holds a doctorate in criminology (PhD, University of Delaware) and a doctorate in law (SJD, Harvard University).  Her research focuses on comparative and international criminology, criminal justice, and law.
