Ariel Roddy is a current doctoral student in Criminal Justice at Michigan State University. Her research interests include prisoner reentry and recidivism, the economics of crime, and visual analytics of crime data using GIS techniques. She is trained in restorative practices and mediation and crisis de-escalation. She has earned an M.S. in Economics from the University of Oregon, an M.S. in Applied and Computational Mathematics from the University of Michigan-Dearborn, and a B.A. in Mathematical Economics from Scripps College.
