Dr. Chermak Receives ACJS Outstanding Mentor Award

Photo of Steve ChermakCongratulations are in order for Dr. Steve Chermak, Professor in the School of Criminal Justice, for recently being named a recipient of the ACJS Outstanding Mentor Award.

The ACJS Outstanding Mentor Award is bestowed upon members of the Criminal Justice community who "have made a significant contribution to the professional development of graduate students and junior faculty members in criminal justice." Throughout his career, Dr. Chermak has served on over 40 dissertation committees (chairing 16 of them), mentored multiple research assistants, and has co-authored multiple articles with graduate students.
