Students enrolled in one of the multiple programs at the School of Criminal Justice have the opportunity to learn from faculty with decades of combined experience in an array of topics such as policing, terrorism, corrections, white collar crime, cybercrime and a range of other topics. Graduates from our doctoral programs often secure academic appointments throughout the U.S. Graduates from our online programs have gone on to work for the private sector and public sector at the local, state, and federal levels.

Since launching the Online Master of Science in Criminal Justice Degree Program in 1998 – the first online degree program offered at Michigan State University - the School has launched an Online Master of Science in Law Enforcement Intelligence & Analysis (LEIA) and is seeking university approval of a Cyber Criminology and Security Certificate.

To provide our students with the real-world skill sets they will need to succeed in the law enforcement field, the curriculum developed for the LEIA Program was informed by industry and government agencies. As the emerging needs of law enforcement agencies are changing, the School has recently revised and updated the LEIA program to ensure we continue to set our graduates up for success.

The School of Criminal Justice is part of the College of Social Science at MSU.
