Biography
A native of St. Louis, Missouri, Jeffrey Frost is an accomplished operational, administrative and fiscal leader offering extensive experience in public and corporate sectors.
As a veteran of the United States Secret Service, Jeff retired as the Special Agent in Charge of the Detroit Field Office. He has wide-ranging domestic and international experience in physical protection of the President and Vice President of the United States, facility security, counterintelligence, IT security, as well as, a comprehensive understanding of various security and intelligence community cultures, organizational structures, and operational modes.
He began his career in Chicago where he primarily worked criminal investigations. He was later transferred to Washington D.C. and assigned to protect the Vice President of the United States, during which time he traveled both domestically and internationally to perform security advances, personal protection and logistics at large scale events. He subsequently joined the supervisory ranks while assigned to the Vice Presidents Detail.
A graduate of the National Center for Defense Academy for Credibility Assessment, Jeff was assigned to the Forensic Services Division where he was appointed as the Assistant to the Special Agent in Charge and Program Manager for the Secret Service Polygraph Program. During this assignment he oversaw all aspects of the Secret Service Forensic Division, to include the polygraph program, criminal and protective intelligence investigations, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) investigations, as well as, applicant screening and background investigations.
Jeff has extensive training and teaching experience, joining Michigan State University as a part-time faculty member in 2012. Jeff joined the faculty of the International Law Enforcement Academy (ILEA) where he taught classes in Budapest, Bangkok, Gaborone, San Salvador and Roswell. This curriculum included teaching leadership and legal/policy frameworks to executive law enforcement and judicial officials, practical techniques in counterterrorism, executive protection, detection of fraudulent documents, physical security of installations, transnational investigations, and cyber investigations. His research interests include procedural justice and complex transnational cyber investigations.
Jeff received a Senior Executive Service (SES) Certification from the Office of Personnel Management and his Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
