The Tenth bi-annual Conference on Criminal Justice and Security in Central and Eastern Europe: Understanding Professionalism, Legitimacy, and Trust was co-sponsored by the University of Maribor, Slovenia, and Michigan State University School of Criminal Justice in Ljubljana, Slovenia on September 15-17, 2014. The conference was co-chaired by Professors Gorazd Meško and Mahesh Nalla.

The primary aim of the conference was to exchange views, concepts, and research findings among scientists, researchers, and practitioners from the broad area of criminal justice practice, research and development thereof in the last two decades. The conference highlighted new ideas, theories, methods, and findings in a wide range of research and applied areas relating to criminal justice.
