In an attempt to obtain banking information, a recent malware attack on Ingham County government workers affected about 1600 workstations in 33 county departments.  No county data was compromised or lost and extra actions have been taking place both as precautionary and preventative measures.

Dalman is quoted as saying, “There is no silver bullet in cybersecurity.”  Dalman and Dr. Holt suggest the best protection against malware and attacks is a multi-layered network security and frequent testing of systems.
