Field Placement Program
Agency Information

The School of Criminal Justice at Michigan State University is an international leader in research and education on crime and justice issues.  We are also the nation’s oldest continuous degree-granting program in criminal justice offering bachelors, masters, and doctoral degrees.

The CJ and Law Enforcement Intelligence and Analysis Programs are two such academic options for Masters students.  These degrees are pursued by intelligence analysts, law enforcement and security professionals, and prospective analysts, seeking scholarship and advanced training in the emerging field of intelligence analysis. In partnership with agencies around the United States, the School would like to afford these Masters students a placement opportunity where on the job experience and furtherance of learning can be earned while supporting such agency needs as data collection, intelligence analysis, crime mapping, or special project work.

For questions or to initiate a placement partnership, please contact Career Development and Internship Coordinator Tim Homberg at 517-432-3197 or hombergt@msu.edu.
