Associate Professor Carole Gibbs presents at Harris Conservation Forum

The panel was comprised of Dr. Gibbs, ecological designer Pandora Thomas, Dr. Sacoby Wilson (University of Maryland-College Park, Public Health), and Jacqueline Patterson, director of the NAACP Environmental and Climate Justice Program. Each presentation offered a different perspective to the discussion of environmental justice.

The event was co-sponsored by the Whitney Harris World Ecology Center, University of Missouri-St. Louis, Missouri Botanical Garden, Saint Louis Zoo, and the Academic of Science-St. Louis.

Carole Gibbs is an associate professor at Michigan State University with a joint appointment in the School of Criminal Justice and the Department of Fisheries and Wildlife. Her research interests include environmental justice and corporate and white-collar crimes that harm the environment.
